isaacford-headshotIsaac Ford is a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Maryland, who earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 2016. Throughout his professional career, Isaac has worked in orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonology, pediatrics, and geriatrics, treating a wide range of individuals with movement dysfunctions and pain. Additionally, Isaac has conducted research at the National Institutes of Health and Biomechanics Lab at Ithaca College in order to bring the most cutting edge techniques to physical therapy practice.

Throughout his many experiences, Isaac has learned that optimal outcomes are achieved by incorporating multiple treatment strategies, current research, and most importantly, a collaborative patient-centered approach. He believes that a person’s goals are the most important outcome, and that therapy should be tailored to maximize these goals, not just focus on the specific body part. In order to do this, Isaac likes to highlight the role that a person’s community, environment, and individual interests play into the rehabilitation process. Isaac’s motto is “Physical Therapy begins and ends in the community.”

A member of the American Physical Therapy Association and The National Scholastic Honor Society for Allied Health Professions, Isaac is dedicated to advanced education and involvement in the profession to ensure the highest level of care for all individuals with physical limitations. He has given talks on different topics within physical therapy, and regularly seeks to further his own knowledge with advanced seminars. Isaac is active in the community and has volunteered in facilitating the participation of individuals with disabilities in different adaptive sports. Some of Isaac’s special interests are manual therapy, biomechanical analysis, neuromuscular training, and public health.
